Biggest falls in the 27 Jul 2026 session
SnapshotThe movers table above is a live exchange feed for the index you select and refreshes every 30 seconds. This section is a different, fixed measurement: Solomo's own price snapshot of the 27 Jul 2026 session, taken across all 5,576 companies in the India universe (5,406 of them carried a quote that day) and matched to the fundamentals bake of 29 Jul 2026. 2,303 of them clear the ₹300 crore liquidity floor; 2,298 of those carried a quote in the 27 Jul 2026 session and moved inside the ±25% band this ranking is capped at, and of them 1,518 closed higher, 737 closed lower and 43 were unchanged. The session's largest fall was Nelcast Ltd at -13.26%.

How this list is built
Companies below ₹300 crore of market capitalisation are excluded: at that size the index fills with suspended and shell scrips whose printed price has not changed in years. Single-session moves beyond 25% are excluded too — on a liquid Indian stock those are re-listings, bonus or split adjustments and feed glitches rather than trades, and they would otherwise occupy the entire top of the list. Those two filters are shared with the gainers and losers lists on Discovery. A company that carried no quote in the 27 Jul 2026 session is excluded as well — the snapshot still holds its last close, but that close is from a different day, and a percentage move printed under a dated heading has to have come from the session the heading names.
Common questions
- How does Solomo decide which stocks are the top losers in India?
- Solomo ranks every NSE- and BSE-listed company in its 5,576-name universe by single-session percentage move, after excluding companies below ₹300 crore market capitalisation and moves larger than 25% in either direction. The floor removes suspended shells whose quoted price has not changed in years; the 25% cut removes re-listings, bonus and split adjustments and feed errors, which are not trades. A company that carried no quote in the 27 Jul 2026 session is left out of the ranking altogether rather than ranked on the price it last closed at, so every row is a move from that one session.
- Are the top losers on this page live?
- The table at the top of the page is live: it streams a market-movers feed for the exchange and index you select and re-polls every 30 seconds while the market is open. The ranked table below it is a fixed snapshot of the 27 Jul 2026 session across the full universe, and does not change until the site is rebuilt. The two are different feeds answering different questions, so they will not match row for row.
- Why do so few Indian stocks move more than 20% in a day?
- Exchange price bands cap most scrips at 2%, 5%, 10% or 20% from the previous close, and stocks in the derivatives segment trade inside a dynamic operating range the exchange can flex during the session. A daily movers list in India is therefore usually bounded well inside ±20%, and anything past that is normally a corporate action or a re-listing rather than a trade.
