Market-wide filing highlights

Who moved in the Jun 2026 filings across 5,355 companies · highest promoter holdings · how the filings work

Every listed Indian company files its shareholding pattern with BSE and NSE within 21 days of each quarter end. Solomo keeps those filings for 5,355 companies, each history starting at that company's own first filing and the oldest of them reaching the March 2001 quarter — promoter and promoter-group holdings, the FII/FPI, DII and government splits inside the public category, every holder named above the 1% disclosure threshold, and the promoter shares pledged against them.

Across the Jun 2026 filings, the largest promoter increase was RBL Bank Ltd at 60.00% (up 60.00 pp), and the largest promoter reduction was iStreet Network Ltd at 16.58% (down 29.66 pp). RBL Bank Ltd sits at the 60 percentage point limit these lists cut off at, the size at which a move is normally a fresh issue, a merger or a reclassification rather than open-market buying. On the institutional side, foreign investors added most to Gayatri Projects Ltd, now 17.99% (+16.08 pp). These lists cover companies above ₹100 crore of market capitalisation and exclude swings beyond 60 percentage points, which are reclassifications and amended filings rather than trades. Computed 26 Aug 2026.

Highest promoter holdings on record

SEBI's minimum public shareholding rule requires at least 25% of a listed company to be held by the public, which caps promoters at 75%. Companies filing above that line are normally recent listings still inside their compliance window, state-owned entities operating under a specific SEBI relaxation, or scrips working their float back towards the limit — which is why a filing at 99% is a fact about the company's history rather than a screening signal.

Common questions

How often do Indian companies disclose their shareholding pattern?
Every listed company files a shareholding pattern with BSE and NSE within 21 days of the end of each quarter, under SEBI's listing regulations. The filing splits the register into promoter and promoter group, public (with foreign portfolio investors, domestic institutions, government and everyone else broken out separately) and shares held as depository receipts, and it names every holder above 1% of the company.
How far back does Solomo's shareholding data go?
The archive starts at the March 2001 quarter, the oldest shareholding pattern on the exchanges' record, and covers 5,355 listed companies. Each company's history runs from its own first filing, so the oldest listings go back the full distance and a company that listed recently starts at its first quarter as a listed entity. Every quarter carries the named promoter and public holders, the promoter pledge disclosed alongside them, and the quarter-on-quarter movement of each individual holder.
What counts as a big change in promoter holding?
A one percentage point move in promoter holding is meaningful; anything in double digits is usually a structural event rather than open-market buying. The movement lists on this page are computed only for companies above ₹100 crore of market capitalisation, and exclude swings larger than 60 percentage points, because at that size the cause is almost always a reclassification, a merger, a fresh issue or an amended filing rather than shares actually changing hands.
